OK so hands up all those that can remember the 1989 Batman Film with Micheal Keaton? Keep them up (that stops you typing so no outraged comments lol)This shield is inspired and honors that film and whilst there was no such shield in the film if there was its a safe bet that it would have possibly looked like this, or not......OK you can put your hands down now!
Batman is one of the big three as far as DCU is concerned and arguably one of the most popular Superheros ever. This shield is inspired by the Dark Knight films with Christian Bale.
Batman is the least powered of all the superheros yet somehow he is able to pull through all the battles with little or no damage....we except when he got his back broken by Bane....and when he was 'killed by Darkseid... OK so hes had his fair share of issues but overall he hold up pretty well, but the point is this shield shows the signs of some of those battles and given the damage it recieved it probably did its job of keeping old bats alive.
*** Massive saving under Half Price*** This is Seifer's blade in FF8. Hyperion is the greek Titan of light, brother of Cronos and uncle of Zeus. He fought against his nephew in the wars between the Titans and the Olympians and was eventually locked in Tartarus with the rest of them when they lost. With his sister, Thea, he was the father of Helios, the god of the sun, and Selene, goddess of the moon, as well as Eos, greek goddess of the dawn. Hyperion is also a very rare type of double-edged sword that was used in the dark ages. If you look at Seifer's sword you will notice that both sides of the blade are sharpened.
SPECIAL PRICE What can one say... this is just FRIGGEN AWESOME!!!!! (Please note the gratuitous overuse of exclamation marks)
OK its not actually the blade that we see in Advent Children but it is one seriously cool sword......except its not just ONE blade, its actually 4 seriously cool blades in one. The photos simply do not do this one Justice.
Green Lantern is a character that really lends himself to having a shield. Of course his would be constructed from 100% willpower but there you have it. This one is particularly fetching and even appears to glow...
John Stewart was an architect who was selected by the Guardians of the Universe as Hal Jordan's backup after Guy Gardner was seriously injured in a disaster. Although Jordan objected after seeing that Stewart had a belligerent attitude to authority figures, the Guardians stood by their selection. Jordan complied and recruited and equipped Stewart with the standard uniform and power ring.
This shield honours one of the more interesting Lanterns.
Guy Gardner is the third Green Lantern of Earth, and a member of the Green Lantern Corps assigned to Earth, known for his brash attitude and machismo.
"Green Lantern" was reimagined in the Silver Age as test pilot Hal Jordan, a member of an intergalactic peacekeeping force called the Green Lantern Corps. The Guardians of the Universe on Oa give these Lanterns rings controlled by willpower, and send them to patrol all 3600 sectors of the known universe. Jordan was a member of the Justice League.
